Phuzion by Andrew Scott and Alakazam
Overview
Peel away the surface of reality with a killer piece of weird like no other.
You start by taking out a deck of cards from the box and as you are shuffling them you say that you are going to do something that is really strange, but more importantly, that you will do it very slowly. You have someone select a card, they sign it and it gets lost back into the deck.
The deck is given to your spectator to shuffle, as you state that the card is going to vanish from the deck and appear inside the card box which is shown empty and placed on the table or given to another spectator to hold.
You have the person with the cards hold onto them real tight and before they know it – boom – it’s gone! The spectator checks through the deck and the signed card has completely vanished!
You point to the card case the other spectator is holding – it’s empty. But…you point out the back of the card case looks the same as the back of a card. Now for the freakiest thing ever, slowly you start peeling the printed back design from the box! It leaves behind a white surface and you turn over the surface that you have torn away – all attention is focused on this strange object that IS the SIGNED selected card!

I (Joshua Jay) was fortunate to be present for the recordings of this trilogy, and having recorded footage of Simon performing these tricks is a great resource for the serious fan.
The DVDs are packed with great magic, and it’s wonderful that Simon presents us with a mixture of his greatest effects from all previous books and magazines. It’s a terrific overview.
That said, these DVDs are not a substitute for his books. Aronson’s magic is worthy of careful study, and I think these DVDs work best in conjunction with his four books.

O’Aronson Aces
Simon’s amazingly visual handling of the O’Henry Ace plot, with an engaging poker presentation. At the climax all four Aces magically land under the spectator’s hand!

Sightseer - Christopher's handling of Larry Jennings 'The Visitor' effect. The spectators signed selection twice jumps from between one set of Queens between another under impossible conditions, with a kicker final phase!
Oil & Hot Water - A simple, easy to follow Oil and water, with just 4 cards! However at the end, the backs change colour! And then back again! Everything is examinable!
Thought of Cards Across - 20 cards are taken from the deck and 10 turned face up, 10 face down. The spectator chooses which packet they want to think of a card from, and in the same condition, the cards are given to a spectator, 10 cards each. Just a snap and there are now 11 in one packet and 9 in the other. The spectator's card has travelled across! But wait, another spectator saw a card...no problem! The magician snaps his fingers and another card has jumped across, leaving 12 cards and 8, the second selection has gone across! All done in the hands!

The Tunnel Vision gimmicks will allow you to push a face up playing card through the deck - as it emerges from the other side it is seen to change into a completely different card.
The main Tunnel Vision routine is a professional performance piece where four Jokers change one by one into Aces as they are pushed through the deck. This engaging routine builds to an impossible climax whereby the spectators actually witness the last Joker change as it travels through the pack.
But, that's not all. Also included are two more full routines - Tunnel Transpo and Vision Correction - that are made possible by the Tunnel Vision gimmicks.
Tunnel Transpo: You have a spectator sign a card and hold it firmly between their hands. You take a random indifferent card and as you push it through the deck it changes into the signed card - they discover the indifferent card between their palms!

What is the Gambling Protection Series?
The original GPS was a series of 4 videotapes produced by Steve Forte and Paul Donnelly in the mid-1980s. The series exposed dozens of cheating techniques that were used in private games (and to a lessor-extent, casinos) and methods of protection from those techniques. The series was never intended to teach people how to cheat, but rather to protect them from cheaters.
Who is Steve Forte?
Steve is widely considered to be the foremost authority/consultant in the world on casino game protection. Although retired from the consulting business for over 10 years now, he is still sought-after by casinos and private firms for his expertise and knowledge. Steve authored two of the best books in the business on cheating: Casino Game Protection and Poker Protection. Both books are considered the standards by which all other game protection books are measured. Other books and projects are in various stages of development.
Are the moves taught, or just demonstrated, in the GPS series?
The moves are not are taught in the conventional sense. There are no are put this finger there and that finger there are instructions. However, the goal of the original series was to understand the techniques in order to be able to spot them, and almost every technique is shown from angles that facilitate learning the core move. Put another way, if you were a serious golfer, do you think you could learn anything from watching almost 6 hours of Tiger Woods swinging his driver from a dozen different angles?
